Top App of the Season: Pottery

Let's Create Pottery: While most of the students have played pottery prior to being in this class, as soon as the word is said, there are cheers in the room.  Kids and adults of all ages enjoy creating their own pottery design for it to be sold at an auction.  Students particularly like to compete on the amount of money they receive from each design or the originality of their pot.  The paid version is rather expensive at $4.99 but the lite version has many features, patterns, and colors to keep the game interesting.  After being a favorite for the past several years, I finally spent the money to unlock all features.

Kid Story Telling

Scribble My Story is a great app for kids who love to use their imaginations for storytelling.  The app is simple to use and allows kids to type their story and create their own drawings with stamps and a wide variety of markers.  I really like the easy to use voice recording feature.  When finished, the app will read the story back to you as an ebook.  There are also some book templates to start with like "All About Me."  The only negative I saw was that there are only a few images to choose from until you have to pay for more sticker albums.  I would love to see an app like this one with the ability to take pictures.

Homestyler Interior Design

Homestyler Interior Design: Take a picture of your room, use a blank room, or just look for ideas to add furniture, design, appliances or anything else you may want to decorate a room with.  Each item also gives you information about where you can find it.  Great app for real designers or for those just dreaming of the perfect room.
